I have been a customer of T-Mobile for almost two years, the coverage got worse over time in our area, my son had to drive 10 miles to get a signal. Turns out they didn’t renew their contract with local towers. My phone died and I decided to get a new phone with US Cellular. I am waiting for a final bill, and started receivng calls from their collection dept., others on my family plan also receiving calls. I call customer service, they tell me I owe $150, next day collections calls again, I call back and they tell me I owe $407. Told them I’m not paying a penny until I see a detailed bill. They want $50 dollars ETF on each phone when they didn’t keep their end of the contract up. No Service!!! Need to take some action against them. Very angry and frustrated right now.
Sorry to hear that Donna! But as I was told by T-Mobile that our contracts clearly DO NOT guarantee service! The only thing that we pay them for is service, but we are not guaranteed that. But we do have to guarantee to pay them every month. The most 1 sided bs contract of all time, is the one that cell phone providers hook people into. Except I do not think that other providers are as bad giving their customer less to complain about. I hate T-Mobile more and more with every post on this site!
Okay, so I wrote a blog a few months back explaining my frustrations with T Mobile for being tricked into signing another years contract when I thought I was only adding an additional line to my plan. I went to the T Mobile store today happy as a clam thinking I was paying the last T Mobile bill I ever hoped to see. I’m sorry to report, the story gets worse from here as they informed me I was actually tricked into signing for another TWO years, not one. So I was lied to by the idiot at the store that sold me the extra phone, and then lied to again by customer care when I discovered I was still under contract and they told me it was for one year. This company is a bunch of low-life thievs. Like many of you, my family has felt the hardships caused by our country’s recession. My husband works so hard to support me and our two small children, and I am a full-time college student. That situation is hard enough without being screwed out of money every month by your cell phone company. There is no excuse for their behavior, and their stories change every day depending on who you get on the phone, and what type of mood they’re in. I hope this company goes under and their owners lose millions in stock. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I understand times are tough all around, but that does not give them the right to lie to customers to get their business, especially when I was a loyal customer for over seven years! In short, SCREW YOU T MOBILE. YOUR COMPANY OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF! I encourage anyone even considering signing up with them to turn and go as far in the other direction as possible…seriously, stay clear of T Mobile. Any other cell phone company has got to be better than this.
my phone broke so i rang and told t.mobile.they mailed me a bag to send the phone back for repair.i was told to send the phone and battery.so i did.two week later the phone came back.with NO battery. i rang them 3 times .they said they was going to send one in the post next day delivery.2 weeks no battery.two more phone calls to find my battery.so they told me to go on internet and they would give me ten pound refund. so i could get one somewere else.so i went to carphone warehouse .they told me they do not have this battery at any of there shops.and if they did i would cost 25£.so back on the phone again.they now are telling me they can get me a battery 3to 5 day delivery. lets hope.this is not very good customer care. i have spent hours on the phone. i will not be up gradeing any more .just wont out
IM PISSED! My boyfriend and I went to a T-Mobile store on 09/24 because they were having some type of sale (Bullsh*t!). They advised us if we merged to the new Value Plan we can get both upgrade our phones so of course we did. We got the Samsung Galaxy S which we both regret, One month into it my boyfriend is on his 3rd phone and now mine is glitching, freezing, restarting and only getting worse. I wish this was the reason I’m posting my issue on this site.. Anyway, I get my first bill after changing my plan and my bill is $658!!!!! WTF! My bill is only suppose to be about $160-$170 so I called T-Mobile THINKING it was a mistake and the agent told me its high because there is a $200 merging fee for each line! I’m thinking well maybe I wasn’t advised that at the store because maybe waiving that fee was part of the “sale” they were having that day. I go back to the store where I upgraded talked to the manager and after telling him we were not advised of this bullsh*t fee, that f**khead pretty much called me a LIAR and told me that he has no proof that I was never advised then he suggested a payment plan. ARE U F**KING kidding me??? I told him that I wasn’t paying for that because I never agreed to it and I don’t know of anyone who will! Those a**holes refuse to reverse the charge I hate those thieves and they have ZERO customer service skills. I f**king hate TMOBILE! I’m letting that sh*t go to collections and they can f**k off.
They are charging me $200 for going over my minutes.. how is that possible if i have family allowance!!!!!! I call and they tell me i haven’t set up my family allowance.. WTF!! how is that possible? I have been paying for this service for a yr and have never gone over minutes… There was even a time i couldn’t receive or make calls until 9pm when it was free because i ran out of minutes.. How the f**k r u going to tell me i didn’t set it up.. uggghh i f**ken hate them!!!!!

I have T- Mobile since 2001 and it has been SLOWLY BUT SURELY GOING FROM BAD TO HORRIBLE SERVICE THAT CAN NOT EVEN BE USED, THAT TERRIBLE IS GOTTEN IN THE LAST YEAR !!!
SINCE IF BY………..magic….I WENT OVER MY MINUTES MY BILL INCREADED BY CLOSE TO $ 170.00 EXTRA FOR GOING OVER MY 1,000 ANY TIME MINUTES, BUT DID THAT HAPPEN ??? !!!
BECAUSE CALLS WERE DROPPED EVERY TIME I USED THE CELL PHONE AND I HAD TO START EXPLAINING EVERYTHING ALL-OVER- AGAIN- TIME AFTER TIME FOR ONE SINGLE CALL TO JUST ONE PERSON !!!

I’ve been a LOYAL customer for 12 YEARS! (Since VOICESTREAM) I was told by a representative to do a software update on my Galaxy S Vibrant for their new option of tethering, and when I did my phone CRASHED! I called customer care to get HELP, and NOTHING! They offered me a Blackberry, LG Double play, LG Optimus, or Samsung Exhibit II, as a replacement, which compares nothing to my Galaxy S Vibrant. They apparently discontinued the Galaxy S Vibrant. The reviews for most of the phones offered to me WERE HORRIBLE! I did not want any of those phone offers; instead I suggested they send me a Galaxy S, which is a SMALL “upgrade” of the Galaxy S Vibrant, but as a 12 year customer and in this situation, I think that’s the least they could have done! I didn’t want to take the offer for a “cousin phone”, but rather a “sister phone”. I talked to 6 different representatives, including representatives from the “Loyalty Dept”, and NOTHING! Their famous words were, “SORRY, I really wish we could do more.” “I totally feel your frustration, but unfortunately these are the ONLY phones we have to offer you.” I don’t believe that lie for one second!!!! Those aren’t the ONLY phones they could have offered to me, those are the ONLY phones they choose to offer me, because they are CHEAPSKATES and they have contracts with the manufacturer for CHEAP/CRAPPY phone replacements! What a great way to make a LOYAL CUSTOMER unhappy inorder to save a LITTLE extra money!!! Whatever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE not T-MOBIE SERVICE!? I was not being unreasonable and asked for the newest Galaxy S II, if they had my Galaxy S Vibrant, there would be no problems. It’s WRONG when the phones they offered are WORTHLESS!!!! The only other option was to send it directly to the manufacture (Samsung), which would take a week or so to get fixed or replaced. I need a phone YESTERDAY, not wait a week! I told them if this is how they treat their longtime customers then I did not want to continue using their service. They said I would have to pay the $200 cancellation fee, and also, “we are sorry to have to lose you” and they still WOULD NOT BUDGE!!!! THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!!!
I have had the hardest time with T-mobile is the worse company in the entire world they call us a family however they treat us like shit!!! They take our money, they add unknown charges their customer service is terrible they have bad reception and the list goes on and on. When i signed up for a two year contract with them (worse decision ever) i was supposed to get a rebate back for $150. The woman who signed me up for my contract told me that it should be in the mail in 4 to 6 weeks. This woman never told me a thing about having to submit my request to the rebate center. So when i went to the T-mobile store to find out about my rebate the woman in the store told me i had to call customer care. Now this woman named Heather in this store has been terrible to me she had me calling customer care and all these people and all this time she knew that they couldn’t help me with my problem. Now I’m only 18 and my theory about her is that she just didn’t take me seriously because i’m young. I feel this way because when she said that she wouldn’t help me i decided to bring my mother to talk to her. When my mother came with me she told me that she didn’t have the authority to credit my money back. She said for me to send an email to her and she will send it to her boss. Now I guess her boss approved my credit back to my account which i had to call her to find out. She then tells me that they only credit accounts on the 15th of each month well yesterday was the 15th i called to make sure she would credit my account and she said. “Hun you don’t need to keep calling her it will get done.” Hun must be her favorite word because she seems to always call me this. So today is the 16th still haven’t seen my credit. Also something recent. I gave tmobile my mothers debt account to pay my bill for a one time payment. They take the money out of her account for $102.96 (for just one line crazy) they say i payed my bill. A few weeks go by and they say that i owe $230 for an over due bill which was payed for i guess they returned the bill which we never saw the money for and tried to withdraw more money out of my mother account which they were not aloud to do because it was a one time payment. At this point i’ve been f**ked over so bad by them i don’t even care about my phone any more. Im done with this company and as i see with all the post everyone post on here a lot of people are done. If we all come together we can sue this company and and save a lot of people from getting hurt again. My family (myself, my wife, my daughter, and my son) have been T-mobile users for quite a few years. Our house was located in a canyon near Glendale, CA and T-mobile was the only provider that worked in the canyon. Service was great and I had no complaints. However, we recently sold our house and were relocating. My son is going off to college and where his school is located the only provider that works there is Verizon so we needed to change providers. Before doing so, I called T-mobile to inquire as to when my contract was ending. I was told that it was ending in one month, and if I changed providers now, there would be no early cancelation fee. So, we changed providers, and surprise, surprise, they charged me an early cancelation fee of $100 per phone. When I called, I was told they would do nothing about it and that i was just out of luck. They could see that I called a month before, but because the person I had spoken with had put no notes on my account, they would not remove the fees. I told them that I thought their customer service sucked, and that I would do everything in my power to make sure that my family and friends never use T-mobile again. The rep I spoke with couldn’t care less.
I also hate T-Mobile. I took them to small claims court because they kept charging me for a phone line they promised to cancel, and yet billed me for almost a year. It was easy, and they never even showed up to represent themselves. I think they were to stupid to even figure that out. I hoped they would show so I could look at them when they lost. But I won, and they had to pay me nearly $4,000 back. This what I recommend that for you if you’ve been cheated by t mobile. It cost nearly nothing, and it felt good to win! I also learned lots. Good luck, and kick tmo’s ass! They deserve to be exposed!

Started my 2nd 2 year contract in July ’10, Says I signed up for another 2 year contract online when changing to less minutes plan in February ’12 but refused/refuses to show me the contract I “agreed” to. So when I thought I had fulfilled yet another 2 year contract in August ’12 and switched carriers, nope, I was wrong and got socked with a bill for early termination and a month of service. Contract review folks were useless, unhelpful and just plain jerks. They wasted no time sending my account to collections while I was waiting for contract review to respond to my emails for help.
Absolute fuckers. It’s one thing if they could show me where I agreed to another 2 year contract but to tell me that they can’t…bullshit.
I am literally being held hostage by this horrible company. We used Skype for 1 day in India and were charged 2500.00. They put us on an extended payment plan for 10 months. The ceil phone doesn’t have any reception at our home but if we cancel the whole 2500.00 is due and payable. I tried to upgrade our very crumby phone to an I-phone 5 yesterday but unless we pay the whole extended payment plan they can’t add another 20 to it. Customer Service has rules that strictly benefit T-Mobile and will bend on NOTHING EVER. This is the worst company I have done business with in the 58 years I’ve been alive. We are FORCED to pay 277.00 every month for the term of our contract with NO service. The worst phone on the market was forced on us. If corporations were people this one would be reborn as a rape victim. I literally feel like someone punched me in the stomach every time I call “customer” service.
That sounds absolutely horrible! And like something that I could see happening to me. I literally felt the exact same way every time I had to call that customer service. Have you tried the BBB or Attorney General? Both require higher up t-mobile “customer service” execs to call you in regards to your complaint. Not promising they won’t give you that “freshly punched in the stomach feeling” either but it may help. They usually offer something better than what the regular CS reps offer, which in your case is better than nothing. Hope that helps if you decide to try.

I used to LOVE T-Mobile but now they SUCK!!! The account was in my name but we changed it to my husband’s for the company that he could get. He left me and our son, lowered my minutes and blocked me from the account. T-MOBILE is NOW treating me like I”M the dirty mistress. I was the LOYAL customer of 10 years. He added his mistress to our line and took 5 months to give permission for me to be able to change it to my name. Then the EMPLOYEE’S of T-Mobile keep treating me like crap anyway!!!! WTF??????
My son recently purchased an I-phone. Not the newest model, but it is a Galaxy. It stopped working, so he went to the T-Mobile store to find out what to do. He has insurance, so he mailed it in. There is a disclaimer on the insurance saying-if they determine that the damage is due to abuse; they will send you a new phone at full price. They sent him a new phone and are going to charge him approximatly $300. So why even have insurance? This is highly not fair. They should of notified him that they were going to send him annother phone, so that he could have made a decision about this before hand. He feels like he has been robbed. Why don’t they have a repair facility like Sprint? No wonder their plans are so cheap. They make it up by charging extra fees where ever they can. Plus their customer service is lousy, and their billing system is hard to understand. I guess this is so they can charge alot of hidden fees.
I recently decided to move my family’s cell phone service to T-Mobile with high expectations. Within 5 days, it became clear that their coverage was spotty, patchy or just nonexistent. I was unable to make any calls from my home and called the Rep who I’d deal with. His suggestion was it was possible to make calls from my house if I had an internet connection….ah…..OK?
I returned to the T-Mobile on day 5 on returned equipment and cancelled my contract under the “Buyer’s remorse provision”. When I asked for a Return receipt for the equipment he told that I would have to surrender my old AT&T phone to them first under the agreement I had signed with them. I refused and after some further discussion I left without the Return receipt.
A month later I received a T-Mobile bill for $998.00 It was for the cell phones I had returned. This fraudulent charge was finally removed but not without hours of frustrating calls and lack of any T-mobile conflict resolution service. Customer service like their cell phone coverage is nonexistent. Bottom line: T-Mobile is a telemarketing company that sells phones not service. Buyer beware!!!!!
T-mobile sucks big time. Don’t get sucked into their monthly plan. You still get stuck with 100 per phone cancellation. Worst coverage missing text etc. Go anywhere else.
I too have fallen victim of t-mobile dumb service… I switch to t-mobile from Verizon due to billing issues I kept having. As soon as I left and got home I didn’t have receptions unable to make phone calls, always dropping calls. Recently I had or call 911. Guess what? It took six tries to get threw by then I could have been dead . I was so upset and went into the store that same day… I advise anyone who is considering a phone provider DO NOT PICK THE MOBILE… you will be highly dissapointed.
